We had no idea anything was wrong. I got pregnant easily with our first, and while it was a difficult pregnancy and I nearly lost it multiple times due to a placental abruption and early rupture of membranes, we thought we'd get pregnant easily the next time around, too.

And we did. Except that we lost it easily, too. And then we lost another, and another, until we had lost eight. Eight pregnancies, eight babies.

They say that a live baby after pregnancy losses is called a Rainbow Baby. I've chosen to nickname this future baby Skittle. This blog is a chronicle of waiting, hoping and striving to meet baby Skittle whenever he or she should finally arrive.
